Since 1919 the University of California Los Angles has been the home of the UCLA Bruins football team. The UCLA Bruins are an NCAA Division-I team which plays in the Pacific-Ten Conference. Historically, the Bruins football program has been very successful ranking in the Top-10 on the Associate Press polls at least once every decade since the AP Polls start in the 1930's.


The UCLA Bruins first taste of major success came in the 1950's under the leadership of then Head Coach Red Sanders. Coach Sanders led his Bruins football team to a 1954 National Championship, 3 League Championships and an overall record of 66-19-1 in nine years. The UCLA Bruins moved to the top again in the 1980's and the 1990's with the help of former head coach Terry Donahue. The Bruins saw 13 postseason bowl games, with an NCAA record of 8-straight bowl wins. They also put out 28 first-round draft picks, 30 consensus All-American Players and an overall record of 151-74-8.


Currently, the UCLA Bruins are led by Head Coach Rick Neuheisel who joined the Bruins at the conclusion of the 2007 season. Although the 2008 season was not a winning one for the Bruins, fans are confident that after the adjustment to new coaching staff. UCLA Bruins fans can be sure that their team will see a winning season again soon!
